RECLAIM Design Services
|
We are here to help make your home a healthy place to live while using products that are safe for the environment. Creating a beautiful, functional space with healthful indoor air quality is our specialty, no matter what your budget or style. We are also happy to work with do-it-yourselfers by helping with design concepts or research but then leaving the execution to you. And of course we’re always reachable during store hours to support customers, design clients, and our community by finding solutions to home improvement challenges and helping you make your home as green as it can be.
What we offer
- Color consultation -
We will develop a color palette that gives your space a cohesive and inviting look using no-VOC paints.
- Space planning -
This service is for clients wishing to use primarily existing furnishings, but who are ready for a fresh look. We can work wonders with what you already have and make suggestions for a few new items that will make the space look great and function efficiently.
- Interior decoration -
We will come up with one or more design schemes to make your space beautiful and healthy using eco-friendly floor coverings, furnishings, window treatments, light fixtures, paint, and accessories.
- Remodels and new construction -
Deciding to remodel your home can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Let us take the weight off your shoulders by working with you from the idea phase through completion. In addition to designing the appearance of your new bathroom, kitchen, or entire home, we can project manage the construction phase by keeping contractors on schedule, ordering materials, conducting site visits and team meetings, and ensuring that the design is executed as planned. We work with contractors who strive to keep indoor air quality healthy and minimize negative environmental impact by recycling all construction waste and making homes energy efficient.
Design Process
- Initial interview/free consultation -
During the initial interview the designer will tour the space, listen to what you want to achieve with your remodel, get a sense of your personal style, discuss Reclaim’s approach to design and remodeling, and take some measurements and photos. After the consultation, the designer will give you an idea of how much time it might take to complete a design scheme.
- Conceptual design -
Utilizing the information from the initial interview, the designer begins the conceptual design process. We will develop one or more floor plans, color schemes, and furniture and material selections that will be presented to you in the form of drawings, sample materials, and photos. From here we begin to perfect the design with your input.
- Design development -
Once you have approved one of the design schemes, the process of turning those ideas into reality begins. We can hand the project off to you at this point, or we can continue working with you to order furnishings and materials, find and secure any needed contractors, and develop a schedule for completing the project.
- Implementation and completion -
During this stage, your designer or a project manager will coordinate the delivery and installation of all components of the design. We will make sure everything is just as it should be and that you are completely satisfied with the outcome.
Fees
Hourly rate is negotiated based on project size, project goals, and your budget. We offer discounts on certain materials and furnishings purchased through Reclaim for design clients who use more than 5 hours of services. For items sourced outside of Reclaim and purchased by the designer, there will be a 10% markup.
